• Who can apply for Workspace Funding?

  Innovative founders and start-ups from the creative industry who have already established their business and now want to grow can apply for the Workspace Funding. Ideas that expand the offerings of large media companies or improve their processes are also welcome—regardless of whether the project is still in its infancy or already in the growth phase. Diversity is important to us, so we welcome applications from all people, regardless of gender, origin, religion, age, or orientation.

• How can I apply for Workspace Funding?

  You can apply for Workspace Funding on a permanent basis using this online form.

• How does the selection process work?

  Submit your application by the first Sunday of the month so that the jury can review it. You will receive notification of acceptance or rejection the following week. If accepted, funding will begin at the earliest possible date – at the earliest on the first working day of the following month – and depending on available capacity at SPACE.

  Selection criteria include innovation potential for the creative industry, professionalism, community fit, and growth potential.

• What does Workspace Funding offer me?

  The program offers you a free workstation for working on your own laptop in the Flex Desk area as well as access to workshop and meeting rooms in the SPACE in the Speicherstadt. The offer also includes drinks and internet. As part of the sponsorship, you will have the opportunity to make valuable contacts in the media and digital industry and get to know decision-makers from the creative and cultural sector, politics, business and research. The Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft and its initiatives regularly organize numerous events, themed festivals and workshops, most of which are free of charge for those receiving funding. The space also offers the opportunity to organize your own events.

• What commitment do I have to show if I am selected for the Workspace programme?

  As a sponsored user, you should use the workspace at least three times a week. It is also important to us that all SPACE users share their expertise with the community. It is therefore important to us that you regularly take part in our events and community events. We would also be delighted if you supported the philosophy practiced at SPACE: We are not a coworking space, rather we develop solutions together, share knowledge, promote partnerships and thus establish a new unique culture of learning.

• For how long will I receive Workspace Funding?

  You will receive the Workspace Funding for a period of six months. After this period has expired, you will have the opportunity to reapply once.
