Stephan Scheuer

Stephan Scheuer is an author and journalist at the business newspaper Handelsblatt. He heads the editorial team’s technology section. He served as a Silicon Valley correspondent in San Francisco and as a China correspondent based in Beijing. As an author, he has addressed geopolitical and economic issues surrounding digitalization in several books, including *Der Masterplan* (2018, 2021) on China’s rise as a tech superpower and *Inside AI* (2024), which focuses on key figures in international AI development, their motivations, and their networks. He has received several awards for his work, including the German Business Film Award from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Heinrich Heine Journalism Prize.
