From 2008 to 2014, Marco-Alexander Breit held various positions in the State Chancellery of the Saarland, including head of the office of the Chief of the State Chancellery and Minister for Federal Affairs, Culture, and Media, as well as, starting in 2011, head of the office of Minister-President Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer. Beginning in 2014, he served as division head and personal advisor to Peter Altmaier, Head of the Federal Chancellery and Federal Minister for Special Tasks, at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin. From 2018 to 2024, he held various leadership positions in the field of digital policy at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs. From 2021 to 2024, Marco-Alexander Breit first headed the “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies Task Force” and then the “Artificial Intelligence, Data, and Digital Technologies” sub-department at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. Since 2024, he has headed the “Maritime Economy, Aerospace, Security, and Defense Industry” sub-department there.
