Beyond Traffic: Rethinking the Media Business Model in the Age of AI | in English

As content is increasingly discovered and consumed through AI assistants and smart interfaces, traditional distribution and reach models are losing their significance. Short-term revenue from content licensing may be attractive, but it raises the question: Who will control the relationship with the audience—and thus the foundation for sustainable value creation—in the future? Jodie Hopperton discusses a new understanding of distribution, monetization, and audience ownership in the AI era. She explains why the media industry already has many of the necessary building blocks in place and why now is the right time to work together on a sustainable model.
