Pixi book: Inka plays in the media city

Together with Carlsen K, nextMedia.Hamburg has produced a Pixi book about Hamburg as a media and digital location.

Dear readers, we have written a Pixi book. With "Inka spielt in der Medienstadt" (Inka plays in the media city), we have written a storytogether with the Carlsen K agency (the agency for children's media of Carlsen Verlag GmbH) that is intended to inspire young and old alike to think and get excited about Hamburg as a media location. A city in which creators, publishers and media partners play to reach, produce content, set topics and drive innovation.

You're probably asking yourself: Why a Pixi? As part of Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft mbH, we work closely with the city of Hamburg to continuously improve the framework conditions for the media and digital industry. Our goal is to further develop Hamburg as the most attractive media and digital location in Germany. We do this through our programs and events, such as our incubator Media Lift or our publisher conference scoopcamp. But we also always come up with something special in terms of communication - as we are doing now.

So what is the Pixi book "Inka plays in the media city" about?

After school, Inka is asked by her new friends Yunis and Ella if they would like to go to the playground together to play on the fastest carousel. Once there, however, the three friends realize that No one in a wheelchair can play there. The friends don't want to take this lying down. They want to get a new merry-go-round - but unfortunately it is very expensive. The children come up with a plan. Together with their friends, they shoot a video, generate attention and at the same time take advantage of Hamburg as a media city. How do a journalist, an agency and a creator help? You'll have to find out for yourself.

Why a Pixi book?

As a true original in the Hamburg content industry, the Pixi book stands for exciting short stories for young and old. What many people don't know: The children in the books often face challenges that they solve themselves. They become active themselves and take their fate into their own hands. Inka, Yunis and Ella do not simply accept their situation, but develop an idea, create awareness and win people over to their convictions.

Our industry is facing challenges: Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing processes, business models and value chains, while also harboring enormous transformation potential. What does this mean for the media and digital industry? Exactly, get active! Strategic decisions must be made today in order to remain competitive tomorrow. With this book, we want to make everyone in the industry happy and show how important it is to remain active and courageous.

How do I get the book?

Our partner companies and many other contacts from the industry will receive a small delivery of books from us in the course of October. If your company or organization is not active in the media and digital industry, but you are still interested in the Pixi book, please send us a message. We are very happy to receive messages from youth organizations, kindergartens or other educational institutions!
