Developing the content of the future together
In the Content Foresight program, we work together to find answers to questions about the future. Participants are trained in foresight methods, identify trends and drivers at the industry interface and develop future scenarios. They derive opportunity spaces from the challenges of the future in order to identify new business areas. In interdisciplinary teams, the participating experts then work out the implementation potential of the opportunity spaces and transform them into concrete requirement profiles.
In the first two rounds, the focus was on the interface topics of mobility and health.
As part of the Content Foresight Health program, representatives from the content and health sectors worked together to develop an exercise app for children. This is designed to promote physical activity by encouraging young users to take action and do sports exercises. At the heart of the idea are personalized animal avatars that appear in the children's room via AR technology and interact playfully with the children.
BKK VBU, Carlsen Verlag and MainbornWolff were involved.

The project team from MaibornWolff and pilot Hamburg had asked the initial question of how a seamless customer journey could be combined on the physical and content side. The solution idea: a platform for individually optimized travel planning with the help of blockchain technology that is as widespread as possible. With S.T.E.P - the Seamless Travel Experience Platform - mobility and entertainment/information are individually tailored to users. Instead of having to actively choose from countless options on how to get from A to B and what content can be consumed en route, a digital twin creates the optimal decision-making basis for seamless travel planning depending on the situation. The blockchain-based application that has already been developed promises holistic processing.

The Hamburger Morgenpost and Schwan Communications have developed a tangible solution for linking content and mobility services that can already be implemented with current technologies. The Digital Guided Tour/HAM prototype offers users multimedia content (video, audio, text) that works in a wide variety of means of transport, is linked to them and whose display is adapted to the means of transport. The AR application enables tourists and Hamburg residents to take a virtual tour of the Hanseatic city. The prototype not only offers content providers new distribution channels, but also creates incentives for the use of public and/or climate-friendly means of transport in the city - from e-scooters and sharing services to local public transport.

How do we imagine mobility and content when blockchain technologies and AI-supported systems have long since become part of our everyday lives and our data precedes our decisions? Representatives from NDR, Axel Springer, HOCHBAHN, IAV, ITS Hamburg 2021 and Wunder Mobility gave an impression of this with their concept of experiential mobility. As a pre-prototype, the team developed a future paper that outlines the mobile world in 2034 and was presented in the style of a novel by Tagesschau speaker Michail Paweletz. The future paper takes social (e.g. environmental protection, education), political (e.g. data sovereignty), technological (e.g. autonomous driving, artificial intelligence as technology in the service of people, digital identity) and individual aspects (e.g. consumption, convenience) into equal consideration and integrates them into product and service scenarios.
