What’s it about?

In an increasingly digitized and geopolitically tense world, cybersecurity and technological sovereignty are crucial for security and the ability to act. Senator Olivier Cadic, Chair of the Senate’s Cyber Committee, will examine the risks to critical infrastructure, existing legislative challenges, and lessons learned from current crises such as the war in Ukraine and Sino-American tensions. The focus will be on key questions regarding how innovation, data protection, and independence can be reconciled, and what roles governments, companies, and citizens play in this context.

The event is aimed at experts from the tech and startup scenes, as well as representatives from academia, such as those from Helmut Schmidt University. In addition, engaged citizens interested in security and future-oriented issues are invited.
